European Architects in California
A number of outstanding architectural works have been designed for Northern California by European architects. This gallery documents three of my favorites: Renzo Piano’s California Academy of Science, Antonio Calatrava’s Sundial Bridge, and Mario Botta’s SFMOMA, Tragically, the Botta atrium at SFMOMA was destroyed in an ill-conceived addition to the museum.
